Is looking for a Café Supervisor

 We are looking for a dynamic, personable, and experienced café supervisor for a busy café at the stunning Birr Castle Demense.

            Key responsibilities include:

  • To manage the everyday running of the café and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Daily duties involved in café operations.
  • End of day cash balance.
  • Supervising the team (training of staff, rostering and timesheets).
  • Ensure seats, tables, toilets, utensils, counters, and service areas are clean and well presented.
  • Prepare and assist with food preparation, setting up counters and merchandising the cafe with full responsibility of all products from the point of entry to exit
  • To monitor and deliver the HACCP procedures while ensuring that food safety, food presentation, hygiene and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Place product orders with agreed suppliers on a daily / weekly basis and be responsible for the control of waste within the café.
  • Provide ongoing staff training and continuously motivate and develop the skills of team.


  • Previous supervisor experience is essential preferably in a coffee shop / café environment.
  • Ability to multitask, delegate and work under pressure.
  • Flexible to work up to 5 days over 7-day week.
  • Experienced and trained on HACCP and Food Safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an advanced level of English.
  • Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative as well as working as part of the team.
  • Interested in sustainability and food provenance.
  • Experiencing in operating a 2 Group manual coffee machine.
