Join us for a very special evening as we experience a deep partial view of the 2026 Total Solar Eclipse, with an incredible 92–98% of the Sun covered, a rare phenomenon not seen again at this level until 2090.
Set within one of Ireland’s most historic scientific locations, this unique event combines live eclipse viewing (weather permitting), expert talks, and family-friendly activities.
Evening Highlights:
- Train journey to the Great Telescope
- Talk by astrophysicist & solar expert, Dr. Jeremy Rigney
- ESERO Ireland Solar eclipse glasses for all attendees
- Solar telescope viewing (weather permitting, an alternative live feed of the solar eclipse will take place if weather is unfavourable)
- Face painting & children’s activities
- Access to the Demesne, Science Centre & Treehouse
