In the entrance courtyard to the left, our café is a favourite destination in town for our locals, friends and visitors to meet and relax.
The café is bright and filled with Judiths hand picked garden flowers. There is seating inside and out both on the terrace and courtyard.
Open seasonally through the year for morning teas/coffees, lunch and afternoon snacks, the café focus is to offer freshly prepared gourmet sandwiches, soups, deli tarts and salads.
The café supports local food suppliers and businesses. It uses only Irish meats in their deli and marinates and bakes everything fresh daily. Homemade pickles, chutneys and pestos are prepared with some produce from the gardens for their sandwiches.
The baking kitchen upstairs is busy throughout the season supplying the café with yummy cakes, bakes and the delicious café brown treacle bread. It also caters to a pre order call and collect service and private event catering for groups and receptions.
The freshly whipped icecream served from the half door in the courtyard is very popular with our little customers and indeed all those who love an old fashioned 99.
Annies sweetshop, in the Treehouse is a gift to the mums and dads who can grab a coffee/tea, glass of wine or beer and order a sandwich from the café whilst keeping an eye on their little ones scampering through the adventure play area.
Open seasonally, it also sells ice-cream, cold drinks, soft sweets and chocolate.
Picnics can be pre- ordered before your visit or en route to the Gardens. Visitors can order from the café menu and it will be packed up ready for collection. All you need is your blanket. Call 057-9169735.
